About Baffle

Baffle is a guessing game about the strangest objects in museum archives. Each round shows you something real from a collection with no label and no context. You type what you think it is. We score how close you got, then tell you what it actually was.

There is no account to create, no app to install, and no paywall. Play a quick practice round, try today's daily challenge, climb the leaderboard, or send a challenge link to a friend.

Objects come from public museum collections (including the Smithsonian Open Access program and The Met). Scoring uses AI to compare your guess to the object's real title and description, so close counts even when your wording is vague.
